Theme: A Mid-Autumn Night’s Dream

(followed by the weekend’s first play party, 10 p.m. – 2 a.m.)

Put on your red riding hood and join us for a few opening words and a warm welcome from Jacqueline and Andrea! Then gather, pool, barter and hoard your chocolate auction “money” and use it to bid on the array of hotties who’ll be auctioning their services, goodies and charms… and who knows, perhaps you may wish to experience the thrill of being bid on by a room full of randy dykes and trans people! The best twisted fairytale costumes will win prizes, and everyone will have a chance to compete for some excellent door prizes from our sponsors, including Venus Envy and After Stonewall Books. Then, go get yerselves some play already!

Film Screening of “Graphic Sexual Horror”

(followed by the second play party, 10 p.m. – 2 a.m.)

This year, by special permission of the filmmakers, we’re screening the much-lauded documentary “Graphic Sexual Horror,” winner of Best Documentary at the 2009 Cinekink Film Festival (New York) and an official selection at the Calgary Underground Festival, Toronto’s HotDocs festival and the Buenos Aires International Film Festival.

Stick around after the screening for what’s sure to be a rich discussion. If we can figure out the technical details, the filmmakers will be joining us for the conversation!

The film focuses on the relationships between PD, creator of Insex.com—a legendary and controversial “torture porn” website—and the women who modeled and performed in his highly artistic and extraordinarily shocking work. Before it was shut down by the U.S. government through the Patriot Act, Insex.com had 35,000 members. Featuring plenty of original footage and stills from PD’s extravagantly staged Insex.com bondage and pain scenarios, “Graphic Sexual Horror” also gives voice to a number of the site’s models, who often co-created the scenes in which they took part. As the site gained notoriety and the dollars poured in, however, the line between consent and abuse began to blur, and as PD himself says in one candid interview, “I turned into a monster.” Graphic Sexual Horror bears frank testimony to both the stunning beauty that can be created through pain and the corruption that money can inject into situations of sex and power.

Teaching Kink: How to Build a Sexy Session
Second in the Growing New Talent series

So you’ve got this great idea of a kink workshop you’d like to teach. Where do you go from there? How do you develop that into a compelling class that will pack people’s minds with new perversions and leave them pleading for more? Failing that, how do you come up with a solid workshop outline? This panel brings together four BDSM teachers and facilitators who also teach for a living in other contexts, from adult special ed to high school to the university classroom, to share their tricks of the trade. Half the session will be given over to Q&A, so bring your queries and experiences to share.

The Growing New Talent series aims to encourage and support the development of new kink presenters for An Unholy Harvest and beyond. That means you!

Step out of the main venue for a few moments while we magically transform Breathless into breathtaking! Or perhaps we should say bloodletting? Transform yourself in turn by donning your finest formal outfits (leather or otherwise), the redder the better, and come back to enjoy…

Kinky Klean-up and Bye-Bye Brunch

It’s happened every Harvest so far, but this time we’re making the tradition official. You’ve made some awesome connections over the weekend, and you just can’t bear to say goodbye quite yet… plus, you’re up for lending a hand to bring Breathless back to its pristine (cough) pre-Harvest state. What to do? Join us at our main venue to be part of the community clean-up crew! Many hands make light work, and when the job is done, we’ll all head to a nearby brunch restaurant that’s fully expecting a herd of leatherdykes to descend for a satisfying meal to cap off a more than satisfying weekend. (Brunch is at your own cost.)
